Enough is Enough

Let me be the first to say that I am saddened, horrified, and angry at what happened in Orlando, FL. NO EXCUSE can be offered up as to why that should happen to anyone. But ENOUGH is ENOUGH! You now have media and liberals saying that what happened in Orlando is the fault of Christians and their bigotry. Now, I’m going to be as polite as I can and will try to do what Paul says I am to do in Ephesians 4:15—which is to speak the truth in love. In this I will address Secular America.

To Secular America

You asked for this. Not for the shooting specifically, but you asked for anything that named something as an absolute in nature to be removed and not to have anything to do with it. This means Christianity. You asked for it to be removed from schools, government buildings, the public square, and now you want to contain it to just churches and pretty soon, you will want to eradicate it altogether. YOU asked God to leave, and God being the gracious and merciful God He is, respected your wishes. He’s not going to COMPEL you to follow Him. But when you asked Him and His Church to leave, you created a moral power vacuum that had to be filled with something, and with your ideology, you replaced with the this statement:

“Everything is chance-there is no meaning behind anything.”

Ravi Zacharias said this on his website, www.rzim.org, back in 2009:

“First, secularization generally held that religious ideas, institutions, and interpretations have lost their social significance. People liked the idea of a secular society and a secular government. But in terms of moral values and ethics, they never checked into the internal assumptions of secularization that made it wide open to almost any view on any subject. Beginning in the 1960s, the moods of secularization ultimately led to society’s loss of shame.

Next is pluralization, which sounds like a practical and worthy idea; and in many ways, it is. In pluralism you have a competing number of worldviews that are available, and no worldview is dominant. But smuggled in with pluralization was the absolutization of relativism. The only thing we could be sure of was that all moral choices were relative and there was no point of reference to right and wrong. This resulted in the death of reason.

Last is privatization, which is an accommodation to the religiously minded. If secularization and pluralization were going to hold sway, what does society do with the large number of people who are spiritually minded?”**

So, when you shove God out, you have to replace it with something. Secular America, perhaps the reason you are blaming Christianity, which has been the greatest Force for Good in the world’s history when exemplified by REAL followers of Christ, is that you realize that your own ideology is to blame. Basically, everything you wanted can be summed up in Steve Turner’s poem, The Creed:

“This is the creed I have written on behalf of all us.
We believe in Marx, Freud, and Darwin
We believe everything is OK
as long as you don’t hurt anyone,
to the best of your definition of hurt,
and to the best of your knowledge.

We believe in sex before, during, and after marriage.
We believe in the therapy of sin.
We believe that adultery is fun.
We believe that sodomy is OK.
We believe that taboos are taboo.

We believe that everything is getting better
despite evidence to the contrary.
The evidence must be investigated
And you can prove anything with evidence.

We believe there’s something in
horoscopes, UFO’s and bent spoons;
Jesus was a good man
just like Buddha, Mohammed, and ourselves.
He was a good moral teacher
although we think His good morals were bad.

We believe that all religions are basically the same–
at least the one that we read was.
They all believe in love and goodness.
They only differ on matters of
creation, sin, heaven, hell, God, and salvation.

We believe that after death comes the Nothing
Because when you ask the dead what happens they say nothing.
If death is not the end, if the dead have lied,
then it’s compulsory heaven for all
excepting perhaps Hitler, Stalin, and Genghis Khan.

We believe in Masters and Johnson.
What’s selected is average.
What’s average is normal.
What’s normal is good.

We believe in total disarmament.
We believe there are direct links between warfare and bloodshed.
Americans should beat their guns into tractors
and the Russians would be sure to follow.

We believe that man is essentially good.
It’s only his behavior that lets him down.
This is the fault of society.
Society is the fault of conditions.
Conditions are the fault of society.

We believe that each man must find the truth that is right for him.
Reality will adapt accordingly.
The universe will readjust.
History will alter.
We believe that there is no absolute truth
excepting the truth that there is no absolute truth.

We believe in the rejection of creeds,
and the flowering of individual thought.

“Chance” a post-script

If chance be the Father of all flesh,
disaster is his rainbow in the sky,
and when you hear

State of Emergency!
Sniper Kills Ten!
Troops on Rampage!
Whites go Looting!
Bomb Blasts School!

It is but the sound of man worshiping his maker.”

Secular America—the Church has been warning you for years about what would happen if you pushed God out, and now you see that the Church has been right. Don’t be blaming Christianity for its “bigotry” when all the followers of Christ have done is stand for God’s truth in their lives. They weren’t pushing it on you, but want to follow Christ in their lives without interference. However, in YOUR bigotry and hypocrisy of tolerance, you force your beliefs on Christians and demand they conform in every respect.

This sounds hateful and I don’t mean it to be. I mean to be brutally honest and you know what? The truth hurts and perhaps in your eyes, maybe this is more accurate…
